UPCOMING SERVICE CHANGES to CLIENT VISITS

IMPORTANT SERVICE CHANGES:
There will be some changes to client visits to the Thurston County Food Bank beginning on Wednesday, February 1, as below. These changes apply to all of our locations — Lacey’s Food Pantry, Olympia’s Food Pantry, Satellites, and Pop-Ups.

Each household may make 2 Full Visits and 4 Supplemental Visits per month:

  • A Full Visit includes non-perishable foods, protein, produce, pastries, dairy, and other items as available. Pet food is available during Full Visits, as well as partial Other Bank supplies: adult diapers, incontinence pads, menstrual supplies, baby diapers, pull-ups, baby food, and baby formula.
    • A Supplemental Visit includes produce, bread, pastries, Starbucks items, pizza, dairy and perishable food as available, and baby formula.
  • As always, the CSFP program box (for adults age 60 and older) and a Full Other Bank Visit for cleaning and personal care supplies are available monthly. Additionally, Birthday Bags for children age 12 and under (in their birthday month) and cake mix, and the Baby Bag for parents (37 weeks pregnant or with a newborn under 2 months) are available.
  • If you are picking up for someone else, please REMEMBER to bring a copy of that person’s ID with a dated note each time you are picking up to receive this service for them. We will request this information at each visit.

Let us know if you need help with community resources or assistance with applying for SNAP/basic food/food stamps, or if you need information on the CSFP program (for adults age 60 and older).

Due to the ending of COVID funding, and our desire to maintain consistency and sustain our services, we have restructured visits for our clients. We have been thoughtful in these decisions, and will review service levels often as we strive to meet your needs.

Thank you for your understanding!
