Nutrition Classes

“Plan, Shop, Save & Cook”

A 4-class series for people who want to eat healthy for less.

If you are struggling to eat well on a tight budget, confused by food labels and serving sizes, or want to avoid wasting or running out of food, this is the class for you. Each hour-long class is free to SNAP-eligible people. Classes are taught by food bank nutritionist Laura Woodworth and qualified volunteers.

At each class, you will:

  • Learn to use food labels, save money & plan good meals!
  • Taste a healthy low-cost recipe!
  • Get helpful tips and handouts!

The class is open to SNAP eligible seniors, parents with or without kids, students and individuals.  For questions about SNAP benefits, please contact Client Services at (360) 352-8596 x109 or email
