Home delivery for seniors 60+ and those with a legal disability

In an effort to protect the most vulnerable within our community from the spread of COVID-19, the Thurston County Food Bank will start a limited delivery program and will make home deliveries of food to people over the age of 60 OR who have a legal disability from May 2020 until July 31st 2020 as we are able.

To sign up, visit our Home Delivery Request Form.

Questions? Please contact our CSFP Manager. (360) 352-8597 x206.

We are open and distributing emergency food bags M-W-F 11-3

Some of our satellite locations may choose to close. Visit our Locations page for details.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (360) 352-8597 x207. Our Volunteer Coordinator directs most of their time to working with volunteers and clients on our shopping floor, so please bear with us as we make time to follow up on phone messages.

If you cannot volunteer, please consider making a monetary donation. Your contribution will be put toward emergency needs if they emerge. If a need for emergency food and staffing does not emerge due to COVID-19, your contribution will be used to support our overall mission of ending hunger in our community.

Please know that we have scaled back our staff and volunteer functions to essential operations only. This means it may take us a little longer than usual to respond to emails and phone calls, and responding to urgent messages will be prioritized.

Can I still volunteer for the Food Bank during covid-19?

How to volunteer: call or email our volunteer coordinators! Allison at the Tumwater warehouse – (360) 972-6020, gleaning@thurstoncountyfoodbank.org Ben at the downtown Client Services Center, (360) 352-8597 x207, volunteers@thurstoncountyfoodbank.org. We have many shifts and tasks available throughout the week!

For established volunteers, please call or email Allison or Ben to confirm when you will be coming in for a shift.

If you are sick, or if you live with someone who is vulnerable to becoming sick, stay home and stay safe! Check the Center for Disease Control’s COVID-19 page for the best information.
